Braddon’s Last Public Houses.
This series will aim to chronicle a pivotal time in Canberra's development by photographing Elouera Flats, Braddon’s last public housing community. According to the CanberraTimes, Braddon has seen a loss of public houses by 175 (Evans, 2019).

The light rail corridor has been stripped of its housing commissions in an indefinite scheme to fund public houses in the outer northern suburbs. One of the most important aspects is now the placement of amenities is incongruent to the residents. The Braddon walk-in Centre Link and various other public welfare institutions will become redundant as the number of residents has dramatically decreased. Additionally changing the dynamic of the community of public housing has an immeasurable effect on the residents. It will be interesting to see the local government's response to this delicate topic, on the other hand, how will these monetary decisions change the character and environment of Braddon? This series will act as a documentation of the Braddon chapter of the misplaced and unfortunate versus the city planners and property tycoons.
